Las Palapas - Maywood

The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and the restaurant was spotless. There were a few more diners present, but many orders were taken for takeout.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant and cannot recommend it to anyone. The service was rude, and I was horrified when a staff member sprayed a homeless man sitting outside with dirty water. It was shocking to witness such a lack of compassion, and the staff member simply walked away as if nothing had happened.

Overall, the experience was quite good, largely due to the friendly cashier and the tasty food that enhanced the pleasant atmosphere. However, there is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. In any case, it's certainly an improvement over Denny's, no question about that!

The tamales were bland, and the service was slow, leading to a long wait for our meal.

Pupusas begin at $2.50, and the queso y loroco and revueltas are incredibly tasty. The restaurant's interior appears somewhat outdated, but it looks like they are making upgrades, and it is very clean. If you're in a hurry, I recommend calling ahead to place your order; it should be ready in about 15-20 minutes.
