The Wine Station - Mayfield

Really well thought out café/bar, offering opportunity to sample around 80 local wines via self serve dispensers, in tiny, small and standard size pours. Beautiful decor, including succinct summary of wine history and regional differences. Friendly, helpful staff and good cabinet food too!

A fantastic idea, you pop a tab behind the bar, take a glass and your tab card Abi go round the machines sampling the wines, you can buy a tasting measure, small glass or large glass. If you like the wines they have bottles for sale too. Good teas, coffee and cakes/snacks available also, all from the comfort of the station building.

Great atmosphere to sit and enjoy some wine and beer tasting. We didn't sample the platters but they appeared to be enjoyed by other patrons. The staff are extra friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that you could have a half pour, enabling more sampling.

Very cool place, wine tasting, local artists on display and coffee of course. The train station is a beautiful building both in and outside. Well worth spending an hour if you are on a stroll around town.

Very nice and peaceful place with a many choices for souvenirs or gifts. The coffee is absolutely perfect and the staff members are very helpful and friendly.
