Bidrage med feedbackThe food and service was excellent. Simply recommend this place. Ps. the house red is tres formidable!
Le XIVieme is one of the most satisfying culinary experiences in southwest France! Murat and Caro are charming and friendly hosts. The food from the cuisine of Murat is creatively prepared and tasty starting with its exquisite homemade tapenade, which is served as a welcome... from the kitchen. Each dish is beautifully presented and served under Caros' charming supervision. No meal in Le XIVieme is complete without Cafe Gourmand, and a glass of Armagnac! I have dined many times here and I have never been disappointed. A meal here is a must for me at each of my visits to the region.
Dinner here with friends last weekend. The menu choice was diverse and included vegetarian options. I chose pintade, other enjoyed duck as well as the vegetarian option. The food was of a high standard, and the service was excellent. Beautifully located on the market...Square. Very recommended.
From the hotel 12km away had decided not to open their restaurant so they directed us here. We parked on the main square and stood in front of one of the most beautiful market buildings we have ever seen. Huge beams of great antiquity and a tense roof with a market area, supported by stone columns, all cleverly illuminated to show the best properties of the building. When we arrived outside the XIVème-Coach-Lasts by young people, were registered and processed in a few long trestles nearby, presented with fabric bags and disappeared into the night, only by half an hour later all dressed as Hogwarts Akademiker complete with snollen, magic wand and miraculous hats. Apparently medical students. Hmmm. Anyway, this is a restaurant review. We were very welcome and took an interior table. A good mix of foods I had octopus and then a Tournedos Rossini completely different from all I had before, but delicious; my colleague had a huge salad and then a finely cooked tuna steak. If there has to be a criticism, there was quite a lot of food wealth a little less oil or foie grass would have made it a very special meal. Good local wine to accompany. The menu changes according to the available products and there is a daily board that tells you what to eat. Go: it's good.
This was second time eating here and it was just as good as the first time a few years ago. As we were passing at lunch time we decided to pop in. They have an express menu and plat du jour, both very good value...and sounded lovely but my friend and I decided on a starter each and a side salad and then desserts( of course). The food was lovely and everyone else's looked good too. The owners are so friendly and helpful and speak a little English if you need help. Recommended if you are this way.
