Tropical Bakery - Matthews

I stopped by for breakfast while I was waiting for my tattoo appointment. The sweet bread and yucca slice were tasty, and the service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back to eat here again if I'm in the area!

Delicious food! The "cheese balls" are reminiscent of buñuelos.

In my opinion, this is a great spot for breakfast! I'm originally from Brazil, and there are certain Brazilian breads and dishes that I absolutely love. If you're not from Brazil, I encourage you to try some of these breads—you might end up enjoying them!

Amazing little Brazilian spot, great for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, authentic pasteries, and of course those amazing little cheese bread balls everyone loves at Brazilian steakhouses. The owners are extremely nice and you can tell it's a nice little tight knit community of regulars that come to the shop. Authentic empanadas, coxinha (croquette basically), amazing custard tarts.. give this place a try. It's tucked away in a small shopping center behind stacks pancakes in Matthews. Parking can get a little packed but I've still never had an issues getting a spot.

Always a wonderful place to get authentic Brazilian cuisine in Charlotte! I normally get the x tudo sandwich but I was too early today. I ended up getting pão de queijo (cheese bread), kibe (similar to a falafel), torta de frango (chicken tort), and suco de maracujá (passionfruit juice)! I always debate between getting suco de maracujá and suco de caju (cashew juice yes, the nut has a fruit). Can't go wrong with either!!
