The Exchange Pizza Depot - Matthews

Pizza was awesome! Next time we will try an on menu item but the BYO is an awesome choice to get what you want! Prices are great, and if the weather is nice; having your beer delivered from Seaboard is a perfect combination!

One of my favorite pizza places in Charlotte. The quality is top notch. During the summer time I'll sit in the back of Seaboard Brewing grab a beer and this place will bring me my pizza. I've never had a bad slice of pizza here. I will say the staff can be not smart at times but generally they are ok. I go to a pizza place for pizza not service. The pizza I get is either the ENT which is pimento cheese, pepperoni and banana peppers ???? (greatest unexpected pizza combo evertrust me I've had about 1,100 pizzas) and the Jordan which is your typical sausage and pepperoni. Buffalo chicken isn't half bad either. Either way the crust is made the way I like it perfectly and the cheese and sauce is spot on. I willsay I only eat there on non peak hours like after work or on the weekends when there's no events going on.

I ordered their Margherita pizza. The sauce was rich and sweet, and the crust was delicious. While it did not hold together well, I blame myself for cutting in too early. This is a very pricy place. I would recommend going along with guests (I think pizza is better enjoyed with company). After all, I would want to share with them how great the quality is. The restaurant is a small shack you order from and sit outside. It 's nestled inbetween two other buildings, so itmay be hard to find at first. There is some covered seating thanks to the restaurant next door, but do be aware of the weather in Matthews. I will admit what got me to try out this place were the replies made to reviews by management. Ihave a lot of respect for them taking the time to respond rather than leaving a generic thank you message. Pizza in Charlotte is very competitive, and The Exchange Pizza Depot manages to stand out. I do hope to visit and try somethingelse in the future. All I need now are a few friends... :P

We don’t know what happened. Pizza tasted great. However, several hours later my husband and I both fell ill at the same exact time. We’ve been sick for hours since eating here (I’ll spare you the gory details) We had the mushroom and ricotta pizza, and a chicken quesadilla. We didn’t eat anything else during the day. Sharing so hopefully this place can review their storage/preparation policies. There’s no where else we could have gotten this. ??

I came to this location with a friend and we were not disappointed! Loved the pizza, service was excellent, and despite how busy they were everything was fresh! They're definitely a little pricey but I say the food is worth it. I can't wait to come back and have some more!
