Texas Roadhouse - Matthews

We had a wonderful experience during our first visit to this restaurant, but that was quite some time ago. Unfortunately, our recent visit to this location in Matthews, NC, was disappointing. We waited over an hour for mediocre food. My salmon was nearly raw and I had to send it back. I noticed a guy walking around with a plate and, after some time, I asked about my salmon. It turned out to be the same piece I had sent back, but at least it was cooked when I finally received it again. The salad was mostly brown iceberg lettuce, with barely any actual salad in the bowl. It was definitely not worth the wait. The only bright spot was our amazing waitress—she was fantastic! But the issues with the food weren't her fault. Sadly, we won't be returning for another meal here.

Eating was cooked to perfection, staff were attentive and courteous, sitting and waiting time was fair and manager ran round for quality control, would come again big experince!

5 stars because food and service was great, but let's talk about this decor... I understand I'm at a steakhouse. I understand the deer on the wall. But let's talk about this specific deer. This thing has been peering into my soul since I sat down. I've decided to call him Hector but I really think Hector should be moved so he isn't staring into the souls of the lovely patrons that sit on this side of the establishment!

This restaurant is awesome. The food was excellent as well as the service. The wait was very worth it. Well done Brei and well done Texas Road House. It was so good that I ordered a plate to go to take to someone who had not eaten dinner .

Ordered online. Salad was brown and unappealing. Had about 4 shredded pieces of cheese? The grilled chicken that came with the salad was decent. Wasn?t the first time, but wanted to give them another chance. Definitely not again though.
