Mattapoisett Gulf - Mattapoisett Center

We stopped for dinner. It was still a chilly for the picnic tables so we ate in the car. The scallop and combination plates were delicious. Definitely worth the money and the time. It did not take long from order to delivery. The scallops were tender and very tasty, the fried clams with breaded very lightly and sweat and tender. A definite return is in the future.

Oxford Creamery is an old haunt from when we lived up in Mass. We were anxious for our friends to try it so we went for lunch. No stuffed quohogs which is why we went! SO disappointed. Clam strips were on the greasy side, li qui a sandwich was great but the quohog chowder was watery. Staff was friendly especially the woman doing the cooking- she was working hard trying to keep the flow of customers going. Of course we didn’t leave without the grape nut and maple Walnut icecream and we were not disappointed. We will go back again next time we are in the area and fingers crossed they have stuffed quohogs

The food here is excellent; always fresh seafood. However, on my last visit it wasn't the food that was offensive. While there was a long line of people waiting to order food, the cook/owner was having a long personal conversation with the first person in line and ignoring all the waiting potential customers. It's fine if he wants to treat his customers this way, but I won't be back.

This place is absolutely filthy!! It looks like it has been forever since someone cleaned the dining area or kitchen.

This place has the best clam chowder around. All there food is great ? .can't wait for them to open for the season, yummy yummy. ?.
