Cafe&stay Castana - Matsumoto

Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful atmosphere and amenities. Great value for money. The situation is not bad either.

Beautiful interior. Great cake. The Macha Parfait was surprisingly mild and smooth.

I was on the move in a group of five and had difficulty finding a hotel that could all accommodate us. I found CASTANA with pure luck and it ended the best place we've ever stayed. Kaneda-san and his wife love the hotel and brings a lot of time and energy to them, he drove us from the Matsumoto Station and throughout the city for free. He was very friendly and spoke phenomenal English, he was really the highlight of our trip. The room itself was like a studio apartment, we have a loft bed and a complete dining room with a microwave, toaster, utensils and mini fridge. The view was absolutely beautiful and it was a great room to relax after a long day. Excellent room, the best staff you ever meet, and honestly, the best hotel and café ever! If you travel to Matsumoto in a larger group, I recommend CASTANA.

It's a nice cafe room. The host is welcoming and friendly. He also speaks English and has done a great job with the interior and mood! It's a brand new property.

Very nice and cozy place. It is a little bit small, so big crowds may not fit in well. The customer service was great, and the drink of my choice was good too.
