Osteria San Francesco - MATERA

Nice little restaurant in a central position. Good food and wine and warm welcome from the owners.

After 10 days traveling over Puglia region we have experienced outstanding restaurants but on the last day the experience on Osteria San Francesca was remarkable, every plate had a special detail and unforgettable taste. It was a great pleasure to meet the Chef. I really recommend Osteria San Francesco in Matera and for sure I would give now the Third Fork based on Gambero Rosso rank.

Staff is unwelcoming and pretentious . Food was just okay and service was slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty .There are better options to seek out for higher end dining .

Rude staff would not give us a table outside even though it was clearly available even though we asked . They stripped the table cloth after we asked and we were the only ones inside . Poor service acted like they were doing us a favor so we left .

Cibo incredibile, davvero un'esperienza sensoriale in una città dove il fascino è dietro l'angolo. tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli, da naturalmente a luogo, dove è possibile osservare la cucina mentre le varie prelibatezze sono preparate. congratulazioni ai manager, due persone ricche di idee e sorrisi per i clienti. Non entrero' li'.
