Hemingway's Bistrot - MATERA

This restaurant in the best part of Via Ridola is highly recommended. The staff are very courteous. The food was ordered and served in good time .All dishes served to our table seemed very artistically prepared...made to make one's mouth water. Very clean atmosphere. Easily accessible. Excellent restaurant.

Given it's location I suppose the prices might be justified however the food was average. We had the cold cut meats and the potato mousse canolli. Wouldn't do it again.

The cook of hemmingway's is good. Friendly service and a beautiful place. We loved the orichietto with lamb and the ravioli with truffel.

First see the toilet. It's a nightmare, manager rude, when we noticed dirt in the toilet, the manager just closed it. This man should not work in a restaurant.

Nice and attractive terrace in Matera. But we were shocked by the food quality. The schrimps were not cleaned (pretty dirty) and the lamb was the worst quality I ever tasted. We will never come back here. Hopefully people read these reviews so that the restaurant has to respond one day.
