Ultra Lanes Massapequa

Ultra Lanes Massapequa is an outstanding bowling alley. The place is clean, and the service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is tasty. It's a perfect spot for bowling with friends as well as with children. There's no need to go anywhere else for bowling!

This is the worst bowling alley I've ever been to, and it's not due to the lanes, but rather the staff. The woman at the front with dark hair is one of the rudest and most miserable people I've encountered. There was no greeting or acknowledgment when I arrived; I stood there for five minutes while she completely ignored me. To make matters worse, there’s no food or drinks available. When I did manage to order drinks, there was no indication that they wouldn’t be delivered to me, and they refused to issue a refund when I inquired. The manager wouldn’t even speak to me, clearly trying to avoid addressing the issue. This is not how customer service should be. The parking lot is dirty as well. I will never return here and will be advising others to stay away as well. They should just close this place down.

This restaurant has a number of issues: there are bugs, it’s messy, and the service is lackluster. The bowling lanes are not maintained, the pinsetter frequently knocks down pins, and the speakers are broken. All of this has remained unaddressed since June 2023. I strongly advise against going here; I assure you that Wantagh and East Meadow will provide you with a much better experience!

Given the restaurant’s relatively low ratings, we anticipated being turned away with no options. However, this is where my 5-star review comes into play. The staff truly went above and beyond our expectations. They offered us free shoe rentals, a complimentary pitcher of our drink of choice, several arcade cards, and multiple buy-one-get-one-free bowling games. To top it off, when we ordered some nuggets to enjoy while bowling, they generously gave us extra. Although we ended up paying for the games—something we hadn’t planned on since we thought we had already paid—it didn't dampen the experience at all. They far exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere in the bowling area was fantastic. There was great music, delicious food and drinks, plenty of space to move around, and a fun disco bowling ambiance, which is my favorite. Plus, they had an impressive selection of bowling balls, a rarity in many bowling alleys. Since we arrived after the Groupon cutoff time, we weren’t able to use the deal this time, but we’re definitely planning to return to redeem it in the future. Their exceptional service has made us loyal customers. A special thank you to the lady at the front desk (I didn’t catch her name, but she was incredibly kind) and to Tony. I made sure to express my gratitude in person, but I want to say it again: thank you for making our visit so memorable!

We went on a school field trip to Ultra Lanes Massapequa and had an amazing time! Our students really enjoyed themselves; the bowling alley was clean and entertaining, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We will certainly return next year for our end-of-year field trip!
