Bidrage med feedbackThis is a great place and our server was fantastic, helpful and right on top of things. Very nice and large menu. Lots of tasty looking sandwiches and burgers. Really appreciated the huge beer menu and some not so well known beers. I had a Granola Brown Ale from Black Hog in CT. We started with the Crispy Cauliflower app in the chili sauce. It was excellent. My wife had the Spaghetti Squash with the pesto sauce. It was very good, on the smaller size, but a nice plate. I ordered one of the St. Patrick's specials, Corned Beef, Cabbage and potato entree. I was disappointed in the meal. While the corned beef was pretty good, the potatoes and the cabbage were undercooked and hard. took a lot away from the meal. Definitely will try the place again as the vibe and the service was first rate.
Love this place! The atmosphere is great, the food and service of the staff is unbelievable.
Value for the increased prices is not there anymore. I am a fairly regular customer since their opening, going with wife, family and friends at different occasions. I would mostly order the GL burger or Chicken Tiki and always enjoyed them. Over the years the tiki has been inconsistent but it seems at this time it is recommendable. My wife always orders the fish chips and for once I chose to order it while with a friend. It was the worst I have ever seen! 3 flat triangular fish patties that looked and tasted very much like they came from the frozen food case across the street at IGA atop of soggy French fries. The bar tender was absent from the bar often and otherwise seemed disengaged. Sitting st the bar for almost 5 hours, having 5 beers each we weren 't offered a buy back and when I inquired he said the policy is they do for every 4 or 5 beers. Their beer list was certainly unique and the reason for our visits. Regrettably, the food, while overpriced, was once a reason too.
The Good Life has been our go-to place for over 10 years, even though it's a bit of travel from Hicksville. We've tried many others, and some are very good, but The Good Life always shines through with consistency and reliability. Family, friends, have joined us here, and there have been no complaints, ever. Now that Paul, the owner, has remodeled the restaurant, the experience is top-notch. A wide variety of rotating beers are always available. The food menu always keeps the standard items available while tweaking some and introducing new items now and then. Prices are reasonable, where a family can go out, have a meal in a more pleasant dining atmosphere, and not break the bank. We've had too many great meals, so I'll just say you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the variety of appetizers, classic burgers, and sandwiches. Give it a try. I bet you'll be happy that you did.
Went here last night, my husband myself and our daughter. The food and the atmosphere was amazing, then our waitress Alyssa G., she took it to the next level. Alyssa was absolutely incredible! From her friendliness to her attentiveness to her outstanding attitude. She also gave her some suggestions, which were spot on! Her engagement with each one of us was superb, and it wasn't just with us. We heard her at other tables being the same way. She seems like a person who lights up a room when she enters. My husband had the seared tuna, I had the chicken pot pie and our daughter had the pulled pork mac n cheese. We also had the mashed potato wontons. Everything came out perfect. Then dessert which was a perfect ending to our meal. This was our first time here, but it definitely will not be the last.
