Bidrage med feedbackMy partner and I stopped in for a bit of lunch on Sunday 11/06/2017 after a walk around town and a trip to stevensons falls. The bakery was busy , but got served pretty quickly , all things considered. Grab a number !! Food was great !! Could not complain if we tried. Staff behind the counter were friendly, despite inconsiderate customers , and as quick as they could be. But what made our experience fantastic, was the young bloke , maybe 13-14 ish ? making his way around tables cleaning up. Doing his job well , helping customers with questions, and whistling happily while he worked ! On our way out after finishing our meal , we gave him a $5 tip and told him well done . His face lit up ! He asked what's it for ? We told him we were so impressed with him . He told us it was his first day !! Well done buddy , keep up the good work
Great country bakery. Don’t go there for the menu food but had a plain pie and French vanilla slice. Can’t complain! As good a pie as you can expect. Go for those two and you won’t leave disappointed! They make fresh salad, ham rolls. I didn’t try them but they were making them fresh. Great if you going on a nearby walk in the hills.
Came up for a quiet weekend in Marysville and stopped by for lunch at the Bakery Cafe found on the corner of main street, which actually survived the bush fires 8yrs ago.<br/ <br/ Out the front is an outdoor seating with picnic tables underneath a wooden roof. Walking inside, you first get a scent of the bakery which to me smelt a little weird probably from the mixed smells of cakes bread and pies. They have a lot of seating available if not busy which we sat by the video.<br/ <br/ They have such beautiful cakes, the best appealing was the lemon meringue pie. They bake everything fresh, bread, breakfast option, pies, cakes, drinks available even coffee and ice cream for the kids.<br/ <br/ I had their meat pie, chips and salad which tastes like regular ones you get at the supermarket. But i had their schnitzel in a role with salad and i can tell you its one the best schnitzels! Crispy, well cooked and tasted beautiful<br/ <br/ Will be back again!!
The first thing you'll notice at the Marysville Bakery is the way they do ordering: there's no table service, with ordering done at the counter, and when it's a bit busier, you take a ticket, much like a supermarket deli, and wait for your number to be called out, whilst meals that need to be prepared are called over the P.A. after you order, much like a game of bingo. It wasn't too busy at 12:30pm on a Tuesday when I went, though it picked up very quickly at around 1pm.<br/ <br/ I had the steak pie: I wasn't able to tell if it was indeed a steak pie if it was, their interpretation does not involve any degree of chunkiness but nonetheless, it was a decent pie, with tomato sauce included (the way it ought to be). <br/ The coffee wasn't as great as I hoped: I had a cappuccino, which I found way too milky. Then again, as someone who prefers coffee black, I might just be a little bit biased.<br/ <br/ Overall, it was a good stop for a simple lunch, but nothing too special about it.
Great little Bakery... Baked goods (especially the pies) were delicious and the coffee was as good as any Melbourne place can dish up, and I'm a coffee snob.
