Brasserie des Messageries - Martigny

If you're looking for a good and reasonably priced you're in the Brasserie des messageries at the right place. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. Even the menu card is small, the dishes are tasty and big. I'm sure it wont be...my last visit there.

Where in the world do you pay more for courses than you do for at this place that's where. We ordered the set menu lunch and when they took forever to ask what we wanted for dessert we had run out of time...so we had to leave instead, and guess what, we were charged for the separate cost of the courses we had, which came to swf more than the set menu price. Talk about a bad taste in your mouth. Food was ok. The server explained it was not her fault we were being ripped off, and she knew it, she said it was management's policy. Thanks for nothing guys.

We stayed here during for lunch during our cycling trip on Rhone route no and it was great. Service was nice, no problem to translate french menu and prepare big table for tired cyclists

Had an excellent lunch here. Menu de jour either or course. I had at CHF. Maybe I was just after some meat after plenty of good salad meals on previous days, but the steak was as good as I have had...anywhere bar Argentina ! Started with a smallish but tasty green beans with gizzards- can't get enough of them myself, and England is a cultural gizzard desert. So the French emphasis menu here was great for me. Excellent, straightforward service. Good selection of wines available, including by the glass. All in all, a lucky find for me, as the bar/restaurant I had been planning to return to just across the road- was closed for a summer break. I'm wondering if I can manage another steak tonight ! Or whether I can tuck one in at lunch tomorrow, just before the train !

The food was very nice and the staff was flexible. The salads were delicious and BIG! They make amazing pommes alumettes.
