Latté - Marseille

We were cycling through the Marseille streets at 10pm discovering the city and vaguely looking for a restaurant when by a total stroke of luck we found Latte. I never usually order pasta, as for me pasta is what you eat if you are in...a hurry and you have nothing else left in your cupboards, but for some reason the seafood and linguine dish stood out for me here. Bearing in mind that we knew nothing about this funky little restaurant we had no expectations.... when the food arrived it looked great and the taste was just exquisite. I was so intrigued that I asked the waitress the story of the restaurant and we met the chef, a 3 star Michelin Star run away who'd given up the high life to run a little restaurant in Marseille. What a treat! Don't miss this little gem!

The staff was welcoming right away even as we arrived before the usual dinner hour. Food was fantastic with very large portions. The chef was great. This is a great cafe to stop at if you are in the area.

A local in the panier district with live music that for 14 euros offers 3 tapas of choice, all very delicious (my - in Italian: a tortino of anchovies, a zuppetta with squids and a tortino of cod and crispy potatoes) and a salad: sympathetic environment, staff so renegated to seem each the owner. it comes out satisfied and with the wallet in cash (the three icons of the euro that indicate the cost are an exaggeration, also because to dine with less than twenty euros to marquee is practically impossible unless you opt for a fast food)!

Little nice restaurant. We spent a good evening at eating tapas (copiers and tastefully very correct) on Spanish guitar airs.Complete 14 € for a 3 tapas plate accompanied by a small salad and 3 € for a glass of rosé. the caipi at 8 € is too expensive for the neighborhood ! too bad that the tables of the terrace are on the immediate edge of the street. the kitchen part visible from the reception would also gain to be masked of eyes.

A nice decor, an attractive card and a very friendly music hide a really mediocre restaurant. The kitchen is very fat (chorizo bad, gratin of inbergines eco-leather.) without flavors ( low-end products, bread coming directly from the hypermarket.) ; to close the whole pattern is far from being all the loving time.
