Ko-Ishi - Marseille

In a good fan of manga culture I had to try this restaurant!The boss is a passionate! the front, the inside of the restaurant are in the manga style (goldorak, albator, dragonball.) the walls are covered with drawings left by aficionados ... c is on we are in the heart of the manga culture! For the kitchen it's the same! trained in Japanese, the chef is intriguable on Japanese culinary culture. in real passionate, he comes to explain his card and the origins of his dishes! It's always very nice to have to do to a passionate. It's a japon concentrate in marsh! Besides, it's so concentrated that the chef cooks in front of the people installed inside (6 covers) so the restaurant is small. the card is not immense but it is enough to send us to the other end of the world! Inside "tako yaki shrimp", kakuni, we share to taste a little of everything! "modan yaki" (Japanese omelette accompanied by noodles), "gyu don" a bowl of rice with marinated egg poached slightly chilled. "choco Yaki" dessert. The restaurant offers of course Japanese beer, Japanese lemonade, saké, Japanese whisky and other ... my feeling is that it is a rather fat as a kitchen (many frying, donut.) but in any case it is atypical and it is the guaranteed change! rates are reasonable but the quantity is not important! I'll be back soon to try the rest of the card!Creating on the cake on a Saturday a month in the evening it's ramen. Finally a real restaurant in Marseilles! I can't wait to taste it!a try for the change and for Japanese or/and manga culture fans!

Very good restaurant with fresh products and attentive service, small succulent dishes and an original atmosphere

Yet fans of Japanese restaurants, this was a real discovery with finally real traditional Japanese dishes prepared in the pure Japanese tradition...I totally enjoyed myself!!I don't find this type of restaurant near my home.

I allow myself to give an opinion on this restaurant not for its kitchen (probably of quality) but especially for its reception. how to accept that this type of establishment, located in a central street of the city, can refuse customers one Saturday at 9:30 pm, in the middle of the holiday weekend? And yet that's what happened to us, my friend and I, wanting to go to this restaurant after a show at the opera theater, the story of ending the evening well. But what I regret most is not so much the refusal as the misleading reason that the server has invoked to us, pretexting that the free tables were reserved for the evening. lies. installed at the end of the terrace of the opposite restaurant, we were able to see that there was actually no reservation of planned and that the restaurant no longer wanted to serve spend 21:30. And it's happening in the 2nd city of france, in the most street in sight of the city, one Saturday night, for a festive weekend! desolating and attrising.

Small restaurant but really excellent! Takoyaki were delicious, just like katsudon and mochis. My friends had taken some okonomiyaki that seemed wonderful according to their sayings! all for a very reasonable price. A very nice address where it is advisable to book (small.) the chef is absolutely adorable, has even taken the time to sit down to chat with us. really nice and all in simplicity!
