The Great Western - Marsden

We ordered drinks and food, and I was impressed by how quickly our meals arrived—everything was served hot and tasted fantastic. It's clear that the chef takes great pride in his cooking. The quality of the food was excellent, and the portions were quite generous, all at a very reasonable price. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and made us feel truly welcome. One of the most charming aspects of the pub is its extensive collection of miniature sheep scattered throughout the venue. Additionally, there is a painting by J. Farquharson titled "The Shortening Winter's Day" hanging on the wall, which adds a nice touch to the decor. The view outside is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning scenery that stretches for miles. I can’t wait for my next visit and would highly recommend this inn to others.

This is a fantastic pub! I enjoyed a meal and a few beers after completing the second day of the Pennine Way trail last year. The owners were kind enough to let me pitch my tent in the garden, as mentioned in the guide. I would definitely come back here again.
