Bidrage med feedbackIf you love Vietnamese food and are keen for something different, check out this menu- and it's really inexpensive. You can expect vermicelli dishes and pho, but the ingredients are really interesting. I had the sweet potato vermicelli with lotus root and mushroom. It was delicious and a good sized dish for $13! The rice paper rolls with soft shell crab, rice vermicelli and apple were fantastic. <br/ <br/ My friend and I visited Archie and Kirk on 12th May on a recommendation, but when I went online to check it out, it looked quite ordinary. However, it seems there has been a change of ownership. The cafe is tastefully styled, yet unpretentious. The staff are very friendly- it seems to be family-run. The service was professional and fast. The cafe is on a funky strip set apart from the main drag with a record store and Gasoline Pony. What more do you need?
I have never had a bad experice with Archie and Kirk!!Every single time my work colleagues and I hit up A&K for our coffees, sweet treats or lunches.. it is always mouth orgasmic. Best coffees in Marrickville by far, and their desserts and pastries are not only visually beautiful, they are so unbelievably delicious it hurts.
Archie and Kirk is not quite as hipster as the rest of your Marrickville cafes, but is in my opinion a hidden gem. The menu is clearly put together by a chef who know how to combine flavours, and if you turn up after the kitchen has closed, their daily baked pies with home made chilli jam are worth a punt. I recommend the soba noodle, chicken and pumpkin with a white miso glaze delicious and not too heavy. The coffee is decent.<br/ <br/ Downsides the portion sizes could be a little bit bigger, and they'd benefit from doing their own cold pressed juices instead of bottled ones. But overall I really enjoy A&K. <br/ <br/ As one of the newer additions to Marrickville road, it's still a quiet place to eat and read a book if you're into that.
Very happy with Archie and Kirk, clean, professional and fast. Great coffee and good food. Pleased to find a new coffee shop near to work that sells food, as my local has decided to close their kitchen ?! and replace it with a pizza oven! Stupid.
