Bidrage med feedbackCoffee Interchange is one of the first artisanal coffee ventures that has travelled this far out from the city. Armed with their passion for specialty coffee and love of people, Joan and Thomas believe that not only is it important to have good coffee, but also to enjoy a good experience. I must say that my visit to Coffee Interchange was a different experience. Joan and Thomas believe that coffee is a journey, and it is evident in their set up. Imagine having the World come to you right here in Bayswater. This they believe is the true coffee experience. Where customers can taste coffee from different countries and savour the positive differences. This is also the reason why they only do single origin specialty coffee. If you are a regular, you will slowly unravel your own coffee journey as they bring you along this effortless pursuit. I had the opportunity to taste the Colombian Supremo Popayan. The rich aromatic flavour really shone through. What was even more intriguing was the fact that the flavour became bolder, the colder it got. And as far as I’ve graced this amazing city, this was the first time I have experienced this kind of attention to detail. The coffee is amazing, literally the best I’ve had out in the East, and the food they serve completes the experience. Sitting in their café, you will hear customers complimenting on the good coffee as they leave. Some can’t help themselves and got another. Their gourmet egg mayo sandwich and muffins are also extremely popular, from what I hear. The peri peri chicken mayo wrap has to be your dine-in experience, or at least it was, for me. All prepared in-house by Joan and her team, Joan wanted to create a real alternative to the normal café styled food where the bread is dry or the salad overly stuffed and you really feel like a rabbit munching on blades of grass. This mayo wrap. Where do I even begin? The chicken was tender and infused with the seasonings of its outer casing. One bite and the juices just exude from your mouth. And you don’t want to stop. Every bite, every morsel reminded you of being transported away or rather transported back home. Eating a delicious home cooked meal served by family, enveloped in love. It literally felt like this peri-peri wrap was made and infused with love. All the ingredients were well balanced and nothing overpowered the other. And then to top it off, the signature blueberry muffins with coconut. Warm and fluffy in the middle with lots of blueberries, this creation melted in your mouth. And all of this is surrounded by a magnificent settings, both internally and externally. The cafe looks out to the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Inside the café, Joan and Thomas have been through many iterations to get the best out of the place. You’ll even find a car in the wall – which you will have to ask them about. Trust me, the story is worth it. Visit the café regularly and you’ll see the additions and updates to the shop over time to reflect joy and a certain touch of home. You’ll never get bored, I can attest to that. The music was warm, calming, and had that inviting tone that immediately eases you into the place. If anything, the café feels like a second home. You can literally feel it, the love that is imbued in every conversation with their customers and between the staff members. If you want to learn more about coffee, the history behind how these guys got into roasting their own beans, setting it and consuming it later, then you have come to the right place. The happy smiles, the inviting feeling and the best coffee on this side of town, you’re in for a treat. P.S. This has become my go to place for a coffee on the weekend.
The Coffee Exchange sell's the best coffee beans in my local area. Whole beans or ground beans Selection of 5 different types of coffee beans. All of their coffee beans are freshly roasted on the premises. Beautiful service Beautiful quality food. They also serve breakfast on Sundays.
This restaurant has some of the best lattes and brownies I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is fantastic, the music is excellent, and the staff is great. It's a perfect place to unwind and relax.
I am hesitant to write a positive review for this restaurant, as I want to keep it all to myself. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind, and once word gets out about this micro-roasting house, it will surely attract coffee lovers from all around. But for now, I'll just keep this gem a secret.
Welcoming and friendly staff, great coffee cakes just the place to head for on your bike. Cyclists welcome there is a courtyard at the rear of the property where you can enjoy your refreshments in bike view!
