Nanny's - Marksville

Listen if you want good food in a home town atmosphere this is the place! Great value and great food served by friendly people and always someone you know to chat with! Now back to the food!Anything you order will make you happy! My favorite is their hamburger steak and the side salad is always fresh and tasty!This is one of my favorite places in town to eat! Vegetarian options: You can always get a variety to suit your tastes! Wheelchair accessibility: Got to have that for me to eat there!

We have been to Nanny’s many times over the years and have always enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, along with friendly service. However, on this visit, the vegetables were cold, the bread was dry, the gumbo was lukewarm, and all lacked the taste that their food once had. And to top things off, we saw a roach crawling on the floor near our table. Possibly if the food was hot, it would have tasted better. Upon arriving at the noon hour, we noticed that the parking lot had few vehicles, and once inside we saw only two customers. Haven’t been to this restaurant in a couple of years; possibly it is under new management. We very disappointed in our visit to Nanny’s and will not go back.

Not sure what happened to my original review...but n e ways...So my family and I are long time locals, I use to go here every weekend with my folks as a child into my teens, Nanny's holds a lot of precious memories for me, the food is always great and staff are always friendly

Prior to food coming out both servers checking customers out ASKED for tips from everyone who paid. If a customer didn’t tip (which I understand it rubs people the wrong way) they talked about them and said they will wait a long time next visit! UNACCEPTABLE. In front of customers. Tips are EARNED. I’ve waited tables 10+ years and never asked for a tip. Will not be returning based on how customers are treated and talked about.

We loved it. The breakfast was great. The coffee was the best I've ever had. Rebecca was our hostest and I just love her. She was friendly and efficient. We will be coming back there.
