Pony Expresso - Mariposa

Great coffee spot near Yosemite Valley. Coffee is freshly prepared for your taste. Place itself is full of funny characters and interesting decorations

Pony Expresso and Coffee Roaster are located on Hwy 49 near the intersection Hwy 140 at the northern end of the city of Mariposa. This is a nice small coffee shop open from 6 am to 6 pm (Mon-Fri) and 7 am to 3 pm (Sat-Sun). There is a fair car park next to the coffee shop. We recently visited and enjoyed two well-made double espressos in Pony Express. They offer an expected selection of coffee drinks and have containers with finished coffee for those on the go. A handful of bakery food was also offered at the counter. In addition to the good espresso we liked the eclectic decor and seats of Pony Expresso. Also during our visit there was good music. You will also find a small outdoor seating area, probably nice for evenings when the weather is good. Overall, a good stay and relaxing place to enjoy coffee drinks, which we found at Pony Expresso during our visit. Would like to return when we went through Mariposa again.

Great locally-owned coffee shop with all the corporate run offerings. Cool seating areas, books, etc. Cozy.

We stopped at mariposa early morning on our way to Yosemite with the intention to grab some breakfast. We did not see that many options and were pretty dissapointed til we saw this place where I could actually have espresso coffee (otherwise not available anywhere). The coffe was really tasty and the pastries as well. We also got some greek yoghurt with granola that was amazing. Even the bathroom was looking good there! Nice place to stop before getting into Yosemite!
