I'm really baffled as to how this restaurant manages to stay in business. Their hours change daily, which is quite frustrating. I can't fathom why a pizza place would close at 7:00 PM on a Friday night, or even at 8:00 PM for that matter.

Absolutely fantastic thin-crust tavern-style pizza. The quality has remained consistently excellent for decades. Along with Quatro's, this is the best pizza you'll find in the area.

Mackie's is a gem! I often travel over an hour just to eat here because they have the best pizza in southern Illinois. One thing I especially appreciate is their clean bathroom, which has hot running water—something I find lacking in many restaurants. It's nice to be able to wash my hands with warm water. The staff is also very polite and helpful, making the experience even better. Overall, it's a wonderful place, and if you've ever visited during Christmas, you'll be impressed by their stunning decorations; they are truly famous for them!

The pizza and salad were excellent. The atmosphere was delightful, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back here many more times!
