California Pizza Kitchen Marina Del Rey Priority Seating

This restaurant is listed on OpenTable, but they seem to fail at honoring reservations. They indicated that the issue is on their end. I had to wait a total of 25 minutes before being seated. I ordered the steak, but was surprised to find that they don’t offer any steak sauce. It was confusing. The wait for our food was long, and our waitress did not check on us or refill our drinks. We won’t be coming back.

Overall, enjoying good food at CPK—great salads, pizzas, and drinks—is quite satisfactory, though it’s not anything extraordinary. The atmosphere is very family-friendly. However, they seem to be unfamiliar with the concept of a priority seating waitlist, so I wouldn’t recommend trying to use OpenTable here. They don't understand it or how to manage it properly.

At CPK Marina Delfin Rey, the staff seemed unaware that they were linked to OpenTable. As a result, they did not honor our reservation for priority seating and asked us to wait at the end of the line. Both the manager and the receptionist expressed embarrassment over this misunderstanding, as they had no knowledge of our request for priority seating through OpenTable.

The short version: if not for the manager (sam, I think) our experience would have been ruined and look at the restaurant mad. our waiter was absent, never refilled our drinks, was not familiar with the menu, and had to be reminded to log our loyalty points to dissert items.

CPK no longer uses the Opentable application. They honored our reservation but let us know for future visits.
