Salt Wood Kitchen and Oysterette

We love coming to this restaurant when traveling in the area. The food and service are great.

Welcoming greeting from manager to an outstanding server. Birthday celebration was met with complementary champagne, ordered Sunset drinks and appetizers and then to delightful oysters and seafood for dinner and finished with complementary birthday dessert. Staff met every dining need without asking for ANYTHING...Menu has really expanded since our last visit which is wonderful and looking forward to our next visit!

It’s a serene setting. It was quite smoky from the large indoor grill took awhile for the intensity of the smoke to ease up. Our server was friendly. She seemed to be stretched for time service. Unfortunately, the Ceasar salad had quite a bit of grit in it, which I’m guessing was from sand in the lettuce. There were a couple mishaps with regards to wine ordering. A Sauv Blanc was served instead of a Chardonnay the 2nd glass didn’t arrive until after I was done eating. But, she did end up comping the 2nd glass due to its late arrival, which was appreciated. Nice atmosphere, noise level is not overwhelming.

Busy night. Servers definitely had their tables and hands full. Our table of four: had to remind waiter of bread order. Once arrived the bread was devoured because it's delicious! We had one dinner come out 20min before others, so by the time he was done eating we were just getting started. Side dishes arrive 15mins before mains and didnt keep their heat. Beef fat potatoes were not crispy at all and tasted gritty, home microwaved at best. Returned. Corriander carrots were an excellent replacement. Staff was nice and accommodating.

Classy, clean and delicious. Very gracious hosts and servers. Neat menu featuring local and good tasting fare
