Le Bon Berger Bakery - Margate

Don’t let the size of this primarily a bakery and sandwich shop fool you. Sandwich size are huge and very tasty, on real fresh Cuban bread. Get your large latte here with sandwich and your still under $10 bucks. Lots of other tempting treats to enjoy. Seating is limited. Worst takeout process. I waited an hour while 3 groups of people came in 20 minutes after me and got their food before me. I sat at one of the tables waiting patiently because the owner/counter lady said 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, then 1 hour later, no food while people who came in after me and dined in got theirs. I literally could have just dined in and ate there and probably would've been faster. She could've at least told me that it's taking longer but nothing. She said it was my fault. I should have called ahead. What? STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMER'S TIME. Also, the styrofoam containers break apart. One of the containers broke in half because the food was so hot and spilled all over my car's carpeting. I SEND A LOT OF MY CUSTOMERS AND CO-WORKERS TO EAT HERE BUT NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!

What a cool little place. They call is a bakery but it is so, so much more. They have a huge bakery cabinet full of gorgeous pastries to tempt you,as you select your own delicacies. But they also have great coffee drinks and bottled sodas. The food menu is equally impressive with tacos, tamales, empanadas, Fortas and tostadas. I openers for the Birria Tacos and a pork tamale. This brought refried beans and rice. Everything was prepared to perfection and I loved every bite. My cafe con leche was just right. Hospitality was very warm (like I walked into their home). I was here at 1:30 on Tuesday and business was quite brisk. Dining room was nearly full with lots of to-go trade, as well. Put La Union on your list for great “hole in the wall” Mexican food. Que Sabroso!

We ordered Cantina from this restaurant, thinking it was healthier. Don’t get fooled, they have same cheap food everyday, one day we had a good sopa de res! Yee the next time we order it was like water filled with squash and bones with hard meat that wasn’t cooked! They never know if you have payed and orders are never ready when you requested to have them, so you can pick up and go! Get ready they offer plain chicken with no flavor every day!
