Bidrage med feedbackOne of my favorite things about being a recent Marfa transplant is that now I have the opportunity to try all the places that I wouldn 't have the chance to hit on tourist time, and Convenience West is one of those places. You know as soon as you roll up that they are not playing. Line of people outside. A grill big enough to sleep 2. The menu written in Sharpie on some butcher paper. I ordered the rib torta and the reaction from the lady at the register was hell yeah! You 're gonna love that one. And she was right. The sandwich plus a side of cajun red beans were more than even a seasoned eater like myself could put away in one attempt, but damn if I didn 't try. I hated the idea of any of this excellent meal going to waste. Barbecue places can be really hit or miss. I 've been to restaurants that traffic in dry meat you 're expected to soak in sauce to make it palatable. This is not one of those spots. Their meats, their entrees, and their sides are all absolutely killer. I 'm honestly looking forward to coming back.
The restaurant offers delicious food and friendly service. Definitely worth a try – you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is great as well. Recommended dishes include the Sweet Potato Salad and Blue Cornbread. This is a perfect spot for a dinner outing. Price per person ranges from $30–50.
Best BBQ in the area ..the whole staff is great ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely is the best bbq in all of Texas! Can't believe I never left a review before today. Try everything! But if you're just visiting for a short amount of time and can only get one meal while you're there I highly recommend the ribs, the brisket and the corn. Seating is outside and the line can get long but there is water outside for you to grab a cup. Also, once they sell out that's that. Only open Friday and Saturday. We're 6 hours away and it's worth the trip to marfa just for the bbq alone.
My wife and I were visiting the area and saw the great reviews for this place, so here is my honest opinion. The brisket ribs were amazing, as well as the appetizer called Hot/Sweet and the homemade pickles. However, the beans and corn side dishes were just okay. The most disappointing aspect, and it wasn't the only one, was the display of the trans flag in front of the business. Business owners, if you believe this is benefiting your business, that's fine, but I can assure you that it is costing you customers. Please focus on running your business and keep your personal views to yourself.
