Bidrage med feedbackWe had not been to Le Coq au Vin for about 6 years. We always loved the food and service. It did not disappoint. The Shrimp Andre appetizer is our very favorite. I had a lovely tile fish and my husband, the pork schnitzel. Both were delicious and served hot. We enjoyed wine with our meal. To top the evening off we had the crepes suzette, freshly prepared by the pastry chef. Our Servers were absolutely wonderful. Thanks for making our anniversary a special evening!
Oh, how the mighty have fallen! Paper menuS, paper tablecloths, cheap art on the walls, bacon bits in the onion tart, no poisson bronze, NO CHOCOLATE SOUFFLÉ, and a truly terrible Crepes Suzette substitute. A good for the average diner restaurant that was once excellent for the discerning diner.
A great dining experience with friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. Great food and ambience. My wife and I dine here at each wedding anniversary or special occasion. At our last visit, we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne after mentioning we were celebrating our anniversary. I highly reccomend this establishment.
My daughter and I wanted to celebrate some great grades so we chose an Orlando classic. Cool atmosphere much like you'd expect at a French country house. Food was excellent and Valli, our server, was just the best! The menu was simple but we wanted to try everything on it. Go try it!
Since 1976 and headed by the Central Florida 's only world-certified master chef, Reimund Pitz and his wife Sandy, in partnership with chef Louis and Magdalena Perotte, Le Coq Au Vin offer upscale French country dining. Located at 4800 South Orange Avenue in Orlando, at Gatlin Avenue, in the Edgewood community, it is open from 5:30 to 8:30 Tuesday through Saturday and has been acclaimed as the best French restaurant in Central Florida. The hor d 'oeuvres are especially delicious, a wonderful way to beginning a truly enjoyable fine dining experience. My wife and I had escargot, Shrimps Andre with shrimp, tomatoes, capers and beurre blanc, baked brie wrapped in a puff pastry and served with apples, caramel sauce and toast and tomato salad with tomato concasse topped with assorted cherry tomatoes, wild greens, goat cheese and onion shallot tarragon vinaigrette. For an entree, my wife chose braised chicken with red wine, mushrooms, bacon onions, vegetables and potatoes. I chose tenderloin of beef with a blue cheese crust, port wine sauce, vegetables and potatoes. For dessert, we shared chocolate and raspberry souffles. Curiously, we don 't encounter too many authentic French restaurants in our travels so when we do, we always make it a point to indulge. In Orlando, Le Coq Au Vin draws many five-star reviews.
