RSL - Mareeba

My family and I ordered a meal at this restaurant and we were extremely disappointed. We received a pizza in a takeaway box for dine-in, were told they had run out of chicken for a club sandwich and offered only bacon as a substitute, and ended up ordering a fish burger instead. We also ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and were assured that there would be chicken on it, but it arrived with just a sprinkle of bacon, lots of Caesar sauce, and mostly lettuce. The piece of chicken in the wrap was small and dry. The seafood basket we ordered tasted stale and the calamari did not taste like calamari at all. The pricing was high for such terrible food. While most of the staff were nice, the food was absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning. This was the worst meal I have ever had.

We went to RSL as we do in most towns to support them. Lunch was a smorkesboard. It was ok but not good value for money.Club is looking tired but staff were lovely. Suggest they get a new chef and lift their game with meals, then the club might be able to boost its patronage. We won't be going back again for a meal sorry to say.

Called into the RSL as we happened to be parked nearby. Only one other couple in the Restaurant and we were given a dish and told to help ourselves and come back as often as we want. There was help yourself Roast and a couple of delicious dishes, a Beef in Black bean sauce and a curry chicken type but it was cooked with an Asian flavour. Plus other dishes and salads also. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.

Ordered rump steak on mash. I received reheated dried out tasteless lamb on a bed of DEB packet mix potato! I couldn't believe l was actually seriously dished this up as a meal. The other four people who received their different meals to me were all disappointed. Steer well clear. Staff were quite friendly, but went there to have a decent meal not to socialize.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my family and it was a terrible experience.
