Davide Italian Cafe - Marco Island

We ordered take out which we have done several times in the past. Overall, the food is good, but there are a few things that could use improving. First, the wait. 75 minutes is too long for take out. Next, the portions. We ordered 2 orders of mussels and I couldn't believe there were only 11 mussels in the order for $14.99 each. Mussels are cheap and usually served in a large bowl with a great sauce to dip bread in. Our veal piccatta came with 3 very small pieces of veal and some linguine. 2 people were planning to share this meal and there definitely wasn't enough to do so. This was $26.95. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs for $21.95. My daughter requested some mozzarella melted on top. They added $2.95 bringing the total to almost $25.00! The meatballs were very good. The pasta Alla Norma was very bland so said mom that ordered it. The pizza was delicious and perfectly cooked. The place was jammed upon my arrival. I'm not saying this is a bad place. They just need to listen to what the people want and like. They used to be open for lunch which was great. They work very hard and are always very nice. I won't order take-out platters from here anymore. I'll just stick with the pizza.

A little restaurant in a strip mall that makes extraordinary Italian food. Their veal milanese is the best I've ever had, bar none. I am just amazed at the quality of the meal. Our server Nicky was wonderful.Tonight was the third night we've been here and I think it's better every time.There osso bucco was fantastic.The entertainment was wonderful.

Food was great, music made me cry like I was at the opera and the owner and servers were first class. Eat outdoors. I put this in my top 5 of all time and I am old. Thank-you!

Food was good, wine was overpriced but good selections, waiter could use deodorant. Live music was a nice touch, but a little too loud for easy conversations.
