Bidrage med feedbackNext, we were served the Old Bay Cheddar Biscuits, which were perfectly sized (small but just right). The Cajun honey butter added an extra delightful touch, making them much better than those from a certain chain restaurant. For our main courses, my partner ordered the fried cod and opted to substitute the fries for a house salad. I took a bite and found the breading to be light and subtly seasoned, allowing the fish's flavor to really shine without any greasiness—what a treat! I chose the heirloom cornmeal-crusted salmon, which was cooked to perfection, although the outer crunch had an unusual texture for me. For me, the highlight of the dish was the brown butter corn pudding, butternut farrotto, and chow chow that accompanied it—absolutely delicious! I plan to try the squash fritters on my next visit. Our friends each ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which is categorized as a starter on the menu, but be prepared to share! They both loved it and still had plenty left over to take home. Of course, no birthday dinner would be complete without dessert. Given the rave reviews we had read, we decided to try one of each shake. I particularly enjoyed my salted pecan praline shake, especially the generous caramel swirl and the adorable "Happy Birthday" chocolate disc on top. Luckily, my partner had a gift card that covered our meal. If we had to pay out of pocket, I might have hesitated to give it five stars, as the prices are quite high—on par with a luxury venue. However, for a special occasion featuring beautiful views, excellent service, and upscale cuisine, Cayton's is definitely the place to go.
Setting: 10/10 stars! Whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors, the seating options are pristine—whether you're near the driving range outside or inside by the stylish bar or the double fireplace. The outdoor seating even features a cozy dual fireplace, perfect for evening gatherings. We enjoyed a breathtaking view of the golf course along with a fabulous sunset in a stunning atmosphere. Service: 10/10 stars! Our server, Alyssa (pronounced Eh-LISA), greeted us with a warm smile and was incredibly attentive, kind, and exceptionally accommodating to all our requests. Kitchen: 10/10 stars! They happily substituted salmon for pork on their amazing flatbread. You absolutely must try it—it’s delicious! As if that wasn’t enough, their tap list includes one of our favorite IPAs from Tirrito Farms in Wilcox, Arizona: their mind-blowing Tombstone-like NECTARON IPA. The wine selection is nothing short of spectacular, but “spectacular” might not fully capture the essence of this incredible destination. Another plus is that Cayton's always goes out of their way to accommodate special requests. How refreshing is that?! Seriously, you need to visit this place—like, right now!
Dinner last night was absolutely fantastic. We drove up to Dove Mountain for the weekend, and the hotel recommended this restaurant. Madison was our server, and she was truly exceptional! We ordered several dishes and enjoyed dining on the balcony with a stunning view of the sunset over the mountains. Everything we had was cooked to perfection, wonderfully seasoned, and tasted amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our cocktails were just right; we even created a few custom drinks, and they were spot on. The food was outstanding; every side dish and entrée was perfect—there wasn't a single thing I could complain about. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in the Dove Mountain area, and be sure to ask for Madison!
Came here for a business meeting due to the private room. Food and service were both great! We enjoyed our time here and the private room definitely allowed us to have our meeting in peace while also getting some great food and drinks.
Recently went to try Caytons at Dove Mountain. Drinks were ok, and the appetizer was pretty good. Little Cajun style biscuits, I forget the name of them now though. Dinner was really good. Wife had the Salmon which was excellent and I had the Smoked Pork Chop which was very good. I think the collared greens might have need to cook maybe a minute longer but that's my only comment. We had an unexpected dinner guest join us for a bit which was fun. Brave little Roadrunner hanging around. Didn't see his buddy Wil E though. We had the S'mores and caramel milkshakes for dessert. Not a huge milkshake fan but there's were good! Menu isn't packed full of stuff which is nice I think. Easier to make a decision. Service was very good. We had a nice view of the golf course and mountains sitting outside. We'll definitely be going back for lunch or dinner. I would recommend giving Caytons a try for sure.
