Pappy's Smokehouse - Mar del plata

The smokers are out front on the sidewalk. I don't trust a bbq joint where you don't see the smokers..... The ribs are the best!! I really enjoyed the corn also but the ribs won the day. We ate inside, but they are set up well for drive up service also.

Not to dissapoint — great flavors, smokey char, bluesy ambiance and hip friendly staff! I'm still smiling, and smokin' after!

Absolutely delicious, worth the wait. Shares the building with another restaurant as well.

Saying this place has good BBQ don't get the job done. I got burnt ends and pulled pork. Both were moist, fork tender, and full of flavor!! I like that Pappy's leaves the sauce up to you! Both meats were great without sauce but I like a little vinegar on my pulled pork the Carolina sauce was perfect the Hoodoo sauce was just the right amount of heat to compliment those burnt ends!! Definitely worth dining here if you're in the St Louis area.

The ribs were good. They had a decent selection of sauces. Their burnt ends though, not so much.
