Coda Kitchen And - Maplewood

I visited this restaurant a few times, mainly because my daughter adores their mac and cheese. However, I must say that the rest of the menu is quite impressive as well!

The restaurant offers a wonderful variety of dishes, ranging from Asian cuisine to Southern favorites, ensuring there’s something for everyone on the menu. I decided to try the short rib cheese dish, which was unlike anything I had ever experienced...

The ribs were not good at all. They were boiled and tough, and the barbecue sauce was overly sweet and unappetizing. I managed to eat as much as I could (see the picture below) before I had to throw it away.

The food was fantastic. We started with the shared steamed mussels, which were served in a uniquely fresh and flavorful sauce. For my main course, I ordered the Brazilian Moqueca, and it was amazing—perfectly balancing fresh flavors with a variety of seafood. The side of white rice had a subtle and creamy coconut taste that paired wonderfully with the crunch of cashews. I finished my meal feeling perfectly satisfied. It was a great experience with a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

I really enjoy Coda. They offer unique, seasonal dishes and have an excellent beer selection. The staff is exceptionally attentive. It's a great spot for a dinner with friends or to grab a few snacks solo at the bar.
