We have not gone here for awhile, due to previous disappointment. We thought we would try again as it is close to home and it has been a long time since we tried. We where very pleased, with food, service and prices. We heard it is under new ownership! Food was great, service was very good! And we didn't have to mortgage the house to have lunch! Menu has plenty of options, we will definitely add to our list of quality establishments in Maple Ridge.

Honestly we used to be regulars at this pub as a couple because we always had good food and fun there. A few weeks ago friends of ours were visiting from England with their 12 year old son. We were happy to take them to our local for a happy hour drink and appies. We walked in (with said child,) took a booth on the left side of the pub and started looking at the menu. The bartender and a few waitresses saw us and did not direct us anywhere. A regular sitting at the bar started making rude gestures and pointing at our guests! Not one of the staff came over (and there were staff that saw what was happening.) I did not see until the 12 yr old was asking me what was wrong with the guy at the bar, why was he pointing at us? When the waitress came to the table for our order, I asked "are we not supposed to have a child in here?" all she said was "yeah families are supposed to be on the other side, but made no apology for the rude patron at the bar or for the fact that there is not one sign that says that. Why didn't they come up to us as soon as we walked in to save us the embarrassment? Because they were all too busy chatting at the bar with the regulars to care! We went to the other side and ordered a drink but felt extremely uncomfortable and angry. Said patron must have realized that he had been rude and came over to us and apologized....but again, nothing from the staff. Honestly we should have just left but my husband was meeting us so we decided to go out to the patio where we thought we would feel less uncomfortable. When we left (like walking out the door) there is a sign inside that says Minors need to be accompanied by an adult. Nothing that specifies what side they are allowed to be on. Needless to say it's taken me awhile to write this review because I was thoroughly embarrassed and felt bad for our guests. We will NOT be going back there. It was a horrible, embarrassing experience for our friends and I'm disgusted at the lack of professionalism that was shown by the staff. If I would hear an explanation from a manager about this experience, I might consider another chance but as it stands now we are extremely disappointed and won't be going back.

I go there for lunch quite often with friends, the food and service is awesome. They have a good varied menu with great specials every day. Wings on Wednesday are one of my favorites.

This place has been here a long time and has a lot of regular customers. Their menu has pretty good variety for a pub-type restaurant, the food was decent and not too expensive. Our service was good except we weren't told that the pop refills weren't free (75 cents) -- maybe that was on the menu somewhere but I didn't see it.
