This was a luncheon destination, the choice of salads was quite different. We ordered a caprese style salad that was lacked in flavour and a somewhat roasted hodge podge of vegetables which also was lacking in flavour. However, the empanadas were the star of the show, delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance was lovely. This restaurant was a little pricey for lunch.
This restaurant was recommended by the staff at our hotel. And as we were told, it is on the more expensive side for dining in Manzanillo. We ordered margaritas which were very good, the appetizer of empanadas was also good. My only complaints were my New York steak was extremely tough to the point I took the majority of it back to the apartment and used it to make hash. I understand the Rib eye is better. It seems to be the trend with new restaurants in the area to serve their food on wooden platters that look more like small cutting boards. My concern here is cleanliness. I know my wooden cutting board needs to be sterilzed almost every time I use it especially if the knife leaves a new mark on the board. The atmosphere in this new restaurant is absolutely A-1. Great lighting, lots of marble tiling, and the softest chairs in perhaps the whole city. I hope they can get a better quality of beef. We may give it a try again next November.
