Bidrage med feedbackI don 't know if you will ever find yourself in Lusk, WY but if you are, stop in and tell 'em I sent you! It was early in the morning and we had to hit the Port of Entry to grab our permit for the oversized load. I attempted to make coffee while he was driving but all I made was liquid grounds and a huge mess! They recommended the 3 Sisters at the permit office so odd we headed to grab some Java. When we walked in it was empty except for one table and she greeted us with Are ya here for breakfast? Well that wasn 't our plan but I immediately responded yes because I wasn 't going to try to cook after the coffee fiasco of 2023! Hubby was hesitant because he isn 't used to enjoying his time while working but went along with me. He is Ssssssuuuuppperrrr glad he did! We ordered 2 eggs and had browns and toast $1 extra for the sourdough and worth it! and biscuits and gravy 2 full biscuits and home fries. He raved over the home fries. Says they are the best he has had. Service was so personable and she honestly asked us about our morning and where we were headed. The decor was hometown midwestern and they are recently under new management. The coffee was amazing and the food went above and beyond. I made certain to thank the Chef for making us an awesome breakfast that we weren 't expecting to get when we stopped. Further it was all cooked fresh and to order. I 'll be back! I already told hubby I want to winter in Lusk! He says we better arrive in October and plan to stay until April, I 'm down for it!
What a great find! The food was excellent, and the service was on point. We heard this clean , sweet place is for sale, and closing in the next few months. It would be wonderful if the owners leased the operation or hired a manager to run it for them. This is such a quaint restaurant. Thank you for the delicious dinner!
I'm usually a Ribeye guy because i like it very juicy. But they don't have it. So i went with the Sirloin crossed my fingers. WOW! Fantastic!! 2 inches thick and juicy. Tender. Seasoned perfectly fresh. Deliciousness! Also good (regular old school) coffee excellent pie.... lots of pies. made with love on site. i recommend warmed rhubarb with a scoop of ice cream Super nice folks PS: if you like salads, you're in luck here. Big bowl. Lots of yummy ingredients, not lots of lettuce.
It may not look like much from the outside, but if you want a good homestyle meal with great service at a reasonable price, this is the place. You have to try the homemade curly fries!!!
We were driving back from Mt. Rushmore and were very excited to have lunch here. The place is a little run down but with all the good reviews, it didn 't matter. Plus, we feel very strongly about supporting small businesses. My husband and I entered the restaurant and waited for someone to greet us. After a few minutes, a woman came out of the kitchen. I greeted her, nothing. She stood behind the register for a few seconds, nothing. I explained to her that I wasn 't sure if it was okay to seat ourselves and my husband mentioned we weren 't sure how we ordered. If we sat first then ordered or if we ordered first. This person looked at us like we were idiots and rudely said, with the attitude and bit of eye rolling as a teenager, What do you mean, you just sit down. Even added the smirk! I don 't know if it was because we were wearing face masks or because we are the wrong type/color of customers but we walked right out. I have never felt so unwelcome.
