Main Street Sub Shop - Mantua

My family stumbled upon this little sub shop by accident. We were coming home from visiting the Christmas Story House in Cleveland and what a happy little surprise this was. The owner and his mother were wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious! My father had the philly sub and he said it was the best he ever had. The owner even threw in a piece of sweet potato pie which was fantastic. Please do yourself a favor and visit this adorable sub shop! I wish we lived closer :

We stumbled upon this gem back in May when we were picking our daughter up from Princeton University. Coming from about an hour North of Chicago, the idyllic town of Mantua is the halfway point. My daughter got the tuna sandwich and couldn't stop raving about it so on our way back home we stopped again but sadly no more tuna that day. After dropping our daughter off over the weekend we made a point to stop for lunch on the way home and I got my tuna sandwich which did not disappoint. Everything is fresh and I feel like my lunch was made in a friend's kitchen as we chatted and I even got in on a conversation with one of the locals. It was a lovely summer day and my husband and I decided to enjoy our lunch on the outdoor seating area which was spotless . I can't wait to return in May when I'm told they will be at a new and bigger location right down the street.
