Alibi Cafe - MANTOVA

It's a nice bar, well equipped with everything you can look for in a bar like this. Breakfast, lunch, good coffee.

Friendly staff, excellent for breakfasts, work lunches or snacks. I recommend it!

Stopped here twice during a visit to Mantova, and both times had a wonderful experience. The owners were working the bar, and one of them (Marco) makes outstanding cocktails. Ask for an Americano if you want something tasty and strong. They serve local dishes (pasta filled with pumpkin) and are willing to substitute items if you want to. In the evening they put out finger food which compliment their beer and wine selection perfectly. For beer lovers they have a red Italian beer called Castello, which has a very unusual, but tasty flavor. Highly recommended. . Great staff, great place to stop for a coffee, glass of wine or a meal.

This bar is at the quieter end of Via Cavour. It has the feel and atmosphere of a local bar, with free snacks on offer (at least at the time that I was there). On this occasion, I was the only non-Italian. There is outside seating beyond the pavement and the interior is decorated in a quirky way, with table-top collages and photos on the wall. Overall, this is a very relaxed and friendly bar. Prices are reasonable.
