Trattoria Via Lugo - Manta

We immediately fell in love with this place. The ambience of this restaurant is perfect. It is well decorated and the background music is pleasant. More importantly, the staff goes beyond and beyond to make your food a great one. We were back a second time and both times we talked to the chef who routinely visited all tables to ensure that the diners enjoy their meals. They make their pasta in the house, as well as some cheeses that were amazing! The food is so good, especially the Pesto Gnocchi, which melts in your mouth. This will be a regular place for us and I highly recommend it!

This place is some of the best Italian cuisine I had outside of Italy. This food is as good and as authentic as the food makes my Italian mother and Nonna. Via Lugo is 100% the best place I have eaten in Manta and the best Italian restaurant I have eaten are in South America. The Aranchini balls are amazing, they really understand the taste profile, recipe, cripples and sharpness. It is a delicate balance that they have completely ruled. The pasta is perfect Al Dente and the sauce is rich and full of taste without being overlaid. The sauce is exactly the correct thickness and ratio of meat to sauce to vegetables. The salmon was perfect, it was well cooked, it was really seasoned and the accompanying vegetables that we tasted and well cooked. I cook an amazing Bolognese, but this Bolognese was even better than I can cook! I had to ask the cook for some pointers. The atmosphere is clam and relaxing and close enough to the sea you can hear the waves crash when you are out. This place is authentic Italian food in its finest. If I'm ever back in Manta, this place will be the first restaurant to come back to. Best restaurant in manta. Best Italian cuisine in South America. 10/10 you have to eat here!

The food was excellent and we loved the ambience of the restaurant. The service was also wonderful and we appreciate that the very personable manager came to talk to us.

Oh, my God. The bar is officially RAISED for authentic, delicious, quality, REAL Italian cuisine here in Manta. Via Lugo is such an experience. If you are looking for a real Italian meal from a restaurant led by a highly qualified and passionate cook where the pasta is made in house and right in front as in Italy, then you should really make it a point to visit Via Lugo and bring your appetite. Here's a shot of the first meal I've ever had Salmon about Pasta here, and it was definitely something to write home to Mom. In fact, the next time she comes to visit us in Manta, we will certainly take her here. Mr President.
