Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I dined here a few days ago, and we were thoroughly impressed. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and delivered excellent service. They even offered us a sample dish of all the jumbo options available, which was a nice touch. I ordered the seafood platter, and it was exceptional—everything was incredibly fresh. My wife enjoyed the catfish dish and loved it as well. I highly recommend Lost Cajun to any seafood enthusiasts.
The food was delicious and satisfying. Although it took a little while for our server to take our order, the dishes arrived quickly once we placed it. Since it was our first visit, they kindly offered us a sample. They also have some lunch specials, and we enjoyed the po-boy and gumbo. My family loves seafood, but I'm always concerned about cross-contamination with shellfish due to my allergy. However, this restaurant was very accommodating and ensured there were no issues with my meal. We also used a Groupon without any trouble.
We started with a taste sampler of the classics, which was a nice touch. The lunch specials offered great value. My wife wasn't a fan of her coleslaw, but the fries were fantastic. The catfish portions were generous, although the po-boy was a bit smaller than we anticipated—then again, I'm not very familiar with Cajun food. My wife's hurricane drink, however, was delightful.
I visited the Lost Cajun for lunch today and tried their lunch special, which included shrimp and fries, and I opted for the Cajun trio. The shrimp were small but flavorful. The lobster bisque was excellent, while the crawfish étouffée and the rice and beans were just okay; both could have used a little more seasoning, in my opinion. As for the beignet, it seemed a bit stale, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, it was a decent experience!
I ordered the CatOuffee, which is crawfish étouffée served over rice with fried catfish on top. My wife chose the jambalaya. The catfish was served hot, perfectly fried, and crispy just the way I like it. My only critique is that there wasn’t enough étouffée sauce for the amount of rice provided. However, my wife loved the jambalaya; it was the most authentic version I’ve had outside of South Louisiana. I will definitely be returning!
