However, shortly after our meal arrived, we were asked to move to a different table in a reserved area because a family needed a smaller table for their children. Despite our half-eaten steaks, we complied and were assisted by the staff in relocating to our new table across the restaurant. Upon being seated at our new table, the manager abruptly approached us and informed us that we could not sit there as it was reserved. We explained that we had been moved there by another staff member and manager, but she dismissively insisted that we leave. After expressing my desire to simply finish our meal in peace, she responded with hostility. I found her reaction to be unwarranted. While trying to enjoy the rest of our dinner, the owner approached us and continued to argue about our seating. We conveyed that they had disrupted our evening and requested a refund so that we could leave. We felt demeaned and disrespected in a manner I had never experienced before. We were denied a refund for our drinks and meal under the premise that we had nearly finished our food. This lack of consideration for our ruined evening was unacceptable. Despite appreciating the majority of the staff and the venue itself, the management seemed indifferent towards customer satisfaction and appeared more concerned with expediting our departure. I would like to clarify that I am still seeking a refund of the £75 I was left to cover after essentially being forced out of the restaurant.
Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The service was extremely slow, despite the lack of customers when we arrived. We ordered our food and drinks at 6:40 pm but our food did not arrive until 45 minutes later, and it was only lukewarm. The lemon chicken was dry and the children's hamburger was overcooked and thin. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction to the waitress, she offered a free dessert as an apology from the chef. However, after finishing our meals, we waited for 30 minutes for the dessert, only to be ignored by the waitress who was chatting with the receptionist. We decided to leave without getting anything. The overall lack of professionalism and mediocre food quality makes this restaurant not worth your time.
The meal was delicious, but unfortunately, it was overshadowed by an excessively long wait. There were numerous staff members standing around and chatting, appearing unsure of their responsibilities. We were informed that ordering a starter or dessert would result in an even longer wait beyond the advertised 45 minutes. Despite this, we waited even longer before having to inquire about the status of our food. I was on the brink of leaving when our meal finally arrived. The food was fantastic, but patrons should be prepared for extended wait times. I am hesitant to dine at this establishment again.
Well where do I begin with what turned out to be a shocking meal?… We arrived just a little before 7:30pm, and was put on a table which was in the corner of the bar area. We sat down and was waiting for 20 minutes before our food/drinks order was taken. We was told the food would be a 45 minute wait which we accepted. After an hour and 10 minutes I asked where our food had gone. It then came out from the kitchen. However, only 2 out of the 4 meals arrived. After once again asking where the other meals were we got told they had “lost” the order. The so called manager came and told us the other meals would take around 8 minutes. 15 minutes passed and still no food. Myself and partner had eaten our meals and friends were still waiting. Once their meals arrived I noticed that the pizzas we had were both named “meat feast” however the ham which was given to my friend was completely different. When I mentioned this to the manager he asked the kitchen staff to which they explained it was apparently “stretched ham”. I mean what an excuse! After asking for a refund we was told a refund could not be done so we explained we wanted something to happen for what was a shocking meal. All he could offer was a free drink for myself and my partner. Which we thought was terrible. We eventually ate our meals at around 9:45pm. 2 hours and 15 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. There seemed to be plenty of staff within the restaurant however, the service was disappointing. The front of house staff seemed more interested in talking behind the bar. If you’re after a nice meal and good service I would not recommend visiting here. We are still wanting a refund for our meals.
I have never been so disgusted in my life , not busy on a bank holiday Monday …. Told by reception to go to the side of the pub where it was packed , whilst the other side which was not offered had no customers was occupied by staff eating , our lovely waitress once we asked if we could sit the other side took us there straight away , we ordered drinks which came within 10 minutes , fine , starters didn’t come out after half an hour , … so I went to the bar as we had finished our drinks to order more and to say our starters hadn’t come out , the bar person politely said she would look into it , the starters then came out straight away …. My starter pate was fine , the garlic bread was fine , but the goujons were burnt to a cinder which we didn’t complain about After 15 minutes of finishing the plates hadn’t been cleared , we ushered the waitress over to say we had finished and we were ready for the mains , which she acknowledged, after another half an hour the mains didn’t come out , so I went to find a member of staff , again as soon as I asked were the mains were and that my child had fallen asleep as he was tired and hungry we wanted a refund JUST for the mains , …. …The mains came out but we didn’t want them …. We had a child … the manager came over very rude and aggressive, stating incorrect timings about how long we had been waiting and demanding for us got get out , we again said we have not eaten , we want a refund for the mains we were not happy to pay for the entire meal with her attitude but we didn’t mention that . As we had a child in tow we left , but will be taking this further as my partner is very high up in the hospitality industry and knows his rights , If you do decide to eat here , please refuse to pay upfront as we had to so we have lost £50 ….check companies house … not good news since taken over , no wonder they want to take every penny
