Shawarma Byte - Manotick Station

We live in the neighbourhood and eat here at least once a week. The staff works hard and are very nice. So items that we have tried have been very tasty and fresh. The popcorn chicken is worth the wait because they make it fresh. I love the poutine here the most, I love adding sliced raw onions on top and they never had a problem doing it for me. It's clean, fresh and good,what more can we ask for?

I was there to order take out shawarma for 3 persons . It can hardly feed two people all you get is 400 grams of meat for 3 persons. ( I was watching when he was weighting meat) I ordered mix shawarma and he weighted 250 grams of chicken then he left 50 grams of chicken in spatula and in that he added 200 grams of beef so on the scale it shows 250 grams of beef . It was stealing in front of costumer eyes . Very small portion of everything . Rice was ok but potato wasn't . It taste like burned oil. I will not go there any more , not worth money as they are very expensive for what they are offering.

This place sells the best broasted/fried chicken in my opinion. The chicken is fresh, juicy, super flavorful, and crunchy. I'm just in love with it. The shawarma however is OKAY (both chicken and meat), it seemed a bit dry for me. I'd get it as a plate and not a sandwich. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the price, it's quite pricey for takeout shawarma shop.

We could be considered addicts! The food is always fresh, the displays are clean. The chicken is moist and flavourful, the beef with tahini is very tasty. The garlic potatoes are to-die-for and the salads are crisp with a great variety. The falafels are moist and fluffy and their hummus is better than mine, so a side order of that is a must!We have supported this restaurant since it opened and are impressed with the consistent quality and quantity of all the food items offered. A great take-away or eat-in option.

I ordered a shawarma sandwich to go, and and fellow came up behind me and the server took his order and prepared his first??? Not sure why, I ordered a shawarma sandwich, fellow behind me ordered a salad with chicken on it, so not sure if he just a regular good tipper, and I only being in first time, got to wait, but still no big deal, I waited, was patient, got my sandwich in reasonable time, sandwich was very tasty and fresh, still dont know why person behind me got served before me. otherwise would have given five stars.
