Umi Steakhouse Sushi - Manhattan

My husband and I ordered sushi for appetizers and were very impressed! We are sushi lovers and have eaten it in different countries, and this was one of the best we have had. The selection was very diverse with some very creative combinations. I liked how they cooked the sushi rice and the presentation. For our main course, we had hibachi. I had lobster and filet mignon, while my husband had swordfish and NY strip steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meat melted in my mouth like butter. Our chef was very entertaining and kept us laughing throughout the meal. Our waitress surprised me with a birthday dessert and a cute fabric bag with a wooden chopstick and a wooden soup spoon. It was a lovely and unexpected gesture that we appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening, celebration, or birthday. It may not be cheap, but the quality of the food, service, and ambiance make it worth every penny. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The dining experience was excellent and the service staff was fantastic. Our server recommended the chef's special meal for a small upcharge, and we were extremely satisfied when we finished our meal.

The experience at this restaurant was extremely pleasant! The wait was not long at all and the waiter was very kind. The food was super amazing, which is a major plus. The chef was exceptionally skilled, earning 100 stars in my book. Honestly, I have never been disappointed at similar establishments, but this place surpassed all expectations. Make sure to tip the chef well if you see him, as he truly deserves it. This establishment is clean and the food is delicious, with generously-sized portions. I was full after just two bites of my salad. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant as you will not be disappointed.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The price was great for what I received (see pictures) - $30. The staff was incredibly nice and the cook was funny and entertaining. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for sushi, steak, salmon, shrimp, and more. Our large group was impressed with how efficiently the food was served, and everything was prepared exactly as requested. The filet mignon hibachi dish was priced at $25, while appetizers ranged from $6 to $12, all of which were delicious. The mixed drinks and beers were also exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for a cozy dinner date or a lively gathering with friends and family.
