Bidrage med feedbackI used to go to Happy Valley all the time when they were at their old location. Today's hot pot was exactly like it used to be back then! Terrific thin sliced meats with seafood, noodles and vegetables. Fried wantons were excellent!
The food is amazing!!! Very flavorful with a large menu that varies from traditional Chinese dishes to more american style stuff. The restaurant decor is very nice and the staff are super friendly. They sent us out some fried dumplings for free which I thought was really nice and they were delicious. If you love great Chinese and hot pots you have to eat here. It is by far the best in Manhattan and would be a contender anywhere!!!!!
I had a great experience here. Personally, I have no food allergies. My food was delicious and it was a big enough portion that I took home leftovers. I have friends that have gluten allergies and peanut allergies and all of them were able to eat with ease. I loved my experience at Happy Valley.
If you're a fan of real Chinese spicy hotpot, this is the only spot in town where you can find it. I recommend starting with the dual broth pot, which features both spicy and non-spicy broth in a divided pot—it's perfect for testing your spice tolerance! Be sure to look at their bulletin boards for weekly specials and new menu items. Don’t miss their hand-tossed Northeast-style salad; it's a must-have with every meal. The dry braised crawfish and braised ham hocks are two unique dishes you won’t find anywhere else. As a regular customer, I've tried most of their specials, and I've uploaded some food pictures for you to check out. Enjoy your meal!
Happy Valley is my all-time favorite restaurant. During our younger days, my friend and I spent most of our limited budget there, even dining twice a day sometimes when they were still in Aggieville. As we grew older and tried to manage our finances better, Happy Valley remained our go-to spot to celebrate life's joys and soothe our sorrows. My favorite meal in the world consists of their Ma Po Tofu, Crab Rangoon, and hot and sour soup. Although I miss the charm of the old location, the food is just as excellent at their new spot. If you're in search of authentic Chinese dishes prepared with care and consistency, I highly recommend giving them a try! I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the owners and chefs for over 15 years of joy and delicious meals.
