Sticks Bbq Hwy 22 - Mandeville

I visited this restaurant because of its high ratings, but I'm not sure how it received them. The woman at the front seemed quite unfriendly, which isn't the best impression for greeting customers. The food was overly greasy rather than juicy, and both my child and I felt nauseous about 20 minutes after eating. I also noticed the woman at the front eavesdropping on our conversation instead of taking care of the cleanliness of the restaurant. The back area and restrooms were filthy. It might be a good idea to close the place for a week and give it a thorough cleaning.

I ordered the nachos along with a plate of brisket and smoked sausage, served with beans and fries, and it was fantastic! The meat was juicy, flavorful, and not at all dry. The fries were incredibly crispy! This restaurant is definitely a great local spot to dine at, and it's now in our top five favorites. It’s quite challenging to find a good BBQ place around here, so this is a real gem!

This barbecue restaurant is fantastic! What makes it stand out from others is that the meat has the same flavor you would get if you smoked it yourself at home. The crispy skin and burnt ends are genuinely authentic. I especially loved their tangy Carolina sauce. The sides were also impressive—the mac and cheese was wonderfully cheesy, and the potato salad and beans were delicious as well. We will definitely be coming back!

The food was good, and the staff was friendly. However, I would have preferred table service instead of ordering at the counter. As for wheelchair accessibility, it was quite limited.

I visited the location on Hwy 22 to see if it lived up to their other spot on Hwy 59, and I must say it exceeded my expectations! I ordered the Lil Smokey, which includes two meat selections and two sides, and the food was fantastic! Moreover, the young man who served me (I believe his name is Lamar) was very polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
