Rips On The Lake - Mandeville

Took friends from out of town and the 'fresh drum ' tasted like frozen drum. Not just my dish but my friends dish also. Oh well, stick to the friend food as they do a good job. The raw oysters were very good and drinks were good also.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Madison-Mandevile-Covington triangle. The view is unbeatable from the large porch overlong the Ponchartrain. The food has always been good, seasoned perfectly. Seafood or steaks, you can't go wrong. The staff has always been great and attentive. On this trip we had sautéed Crab claws and royal red shrimp (Excellent) Ribeye and shrimp, and key lime pie.

Very good. Was quite crowded because of homecoming, but was handled well. We had excellent service from our waiter. He was great!

The server was great. We sat outdoors and it was beautiful. Food all three meals we ordered and appetizers were excellent. The only downside was the hostess was a bit unfriendly. Everyone else was very nice and welcoming.

Really enjoyed all of the food and the ambiance. The buster crab appetizer with crab meat is just outstanding. The crabs with poached eggs and hollandaise were excellent as were the shrimp and grits. Excellent **** mary. Will definately go back. Sat on the deck and it was just lovely. Our server was very nice and accomodating.
