Golden Shan - Mandalay

Delicious and authentic local cuisine. I am a traveler who appreciates good food. The owners are able to communicate in English. They offer a selection of 14 vegetarian and 14 non-vegetarian dishes. The buffet option is priced at 5000 kyat, while a plate of rice with 2 non-vegetarian and 2 vegetarian items costs 3500 kyat. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant and am already planning to revisit before leaving.

For only 4000, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience at this restaurant, featuring a wide selection of dishes and attentive staff.

This restaurant serves the best barbecue in Mandalay. It was absolutely amazing.

It is very hard to find a buffet restaurant with many different options for Vegetarian and Non Vegetarians. Gold Shan is the only restaurant in Mandalay if I am not wrong. They have two different options Buffet style 5000 kyats 4 Curries Rice 3500 kyats

Excellent deal, good tasty homemade style foods, about 20 different dishes available. Plenty of meat dishes, also many all vegetable dishes. All you can eat buffet, comes with free soup, raw vegetables like a salad, hot sauces. Fruits at end of meal. All for only K5000. Drink is extra. Cold beer available here, K2500 for large bottle of Myanmar. Place is clean (by Myanmar standard). Always see some foreigners eating here, though mostly local Myanmar people customers so you know the foods are really local not fake for tourists. This place is a lot better than Shan Ma Ma which is a dump (read my review on Shan Ma Ma, more like Filthy Ma Ma). Must try Golen Shan if you like Myanmar Shan Chinese foods served in buffet. Nice friendly service.
