The Winter Garden At Refuge

We sat at our table and waited for 25 minutes before deciding to leave. Nobody came by to greet us, and even the table next to us had been waiting for 40 minutes without receiving any acknowledgment.

The service was exceptional, the staff was very friendly, and the food was outstanding.

The afternoon was somewhat disappointing. The cakes had too much frosting and not enough substance. The waitstaff were inconsistent in their attentiveness.

Absolutely lovely afternoon tea. The good was delicious and beautiful. The setting was lovely and relaxing and the service was perfect friendly and relaxed. We loved it!

Booked tea for two which was lovely, infact everything was perfect. It's not a criticism, just a suggestion really, maybe give people a choice of teas such as a sandwich selection and the choice of cakes, as I did find the tea on offer more sweet than savoury?
