Siam Village - Manchester

We came here mid-week and was only one of 2 customers. The atmosphere was a little lacking because of this and I was a little worried. However, we stayed and we are so glad that we did. The food was fantastic, very tasty with varied ingredients and the right amount of spice. There was literally nothing left on our plates! We are already planning when we can come again and we are looking forward to trying other options on the menu.

The food was fantastic, the service appalling. CHECK YOUR BILL. There were 6 of us and the waitress added 4 wines we didn't have to our bill and don't order any drinks that need a mixer. They are VERY overpriced. The waitress got really angry when we went through the bill and the menu checking everything and questioned her about prices and inconsistencies. Not good customer service.

The food here is just average, so don't expect authentic street food. Unfortunately, the dishes are served on cold plates, causing the hot food to become lukewarm. The staff's service is virtually non-existent, even when there are only a few tables occupied. The prices are too high for the quality of the food, and even locals tend to stay away as the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. There are also billing errors or questionable business practices to be aware of.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem! Thai cuisine is my all-time favorite and I have tried many, so I was hoping this restaurant would be good. And wow, it exceeded my expectations! We started with the fishcakes and steamed dumplings, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. For our main courses, we had the garlic/chili basil stir fry, panang curry with sticky rice, and noodles - all incredibly flavorful! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the customer service was friendly and attentive. I didn't want the meal to end!

We randomly chose to stop at this restaurant and we are so glad we did. We were absolutely delighted with the food, it was really authentic and the best Thai food I've had in the UK. The owner was very friendly and fantastically accommodating towards our messy kids. Though it may not be the cheapest option, it was completely worth it. We can't wait to come back (the kids are already asking when we can return). Great experience!
