Bidrage med feedbackThe menu promised so much. We ordered the ox cheek ragu and beef short rib. The ox cheek was that tough I had to cut through it with my steak knife and then was chewy and full of fat, was not cooked slow in a million years. Short rib was ok but fatty underneath. For what you pay this is very poor. A free desert was offered but when the cheesecake arrived it was frozen, says it all really. Will not eat here again. Such a shame as the hotel is lovely.
Great fish pie, friendly service! Ate as a family of four, drinks from the bar, and everything was great.
I ate dinner in Masons during my overnight stay at the Hilton, I had taken advantage of an offer when booking the room of a £40 credit for £30 to spend in the bar and restaurant, so I had plenty to spend, so I had a couple of drinks in the afternoon followed by dinner in the evening. There was a nice selection on the menu from traditional to continental and I had olives, hummus and flat bread for starters which was very good, followed by Veal meatballs and pasta which was delicious but a bit more that I could manage. The service was efficient and friendly and overall a very pleasant evening.
I have had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. They do not serve lunch. You have to order from a small menu at the bar. The food quality was average. The service was average. The servers were friendly enough.
The range of food was very good and the service was excellent. The hummus starter with warm bread was a great choice. The Moroccan lamb Tagine was absolutely superb. The desserts choice was also good and I really enjoyed the cheesecake.
