Bidrage med feedbackAs you enter, the restaurant has the vibe of a city center pub, but once you move past the first room, you'll find several smaller areas that evoke a distinctly Greek tavern feel. The venue is accessible at ground level, and while the general restrooms are located downstairs, there is an accessible toilet available on the same level for those with reduced mobility. The staff were enthusiastic, and our food arrived quickly after placing our order. There was a great variety of meat and meat-free options, along with a good selection of beers and wines. The prices were very reasonable as well. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit to the city!
I visited Dimitri on a weekday, and the place was quite crowded, so I recommend making a reservation. We ordered six mezze plates to share, which included Feta and Pepper Dip, Tagine, Potato Flora, Falafel, Lake Bass, and Kotopolo Aphodite. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and we had a great time. However, the falafel was just average. The service was decent, but one of our servers dropped some of our pita bread and didn't replace it, so we had to order another serving. Unfortunately, the pita was also mediocre. Despite this, our overall experience was pleasant.
The atmosphere is definitely one of the best I've experienced in any restaurant in Manchester. Don't be fooled by the pub at the front; once you venture to the back, you'll find a cozy space filled with warm lighting that feels like stepping into old Italy. We ordered tapas: I had the chicken and mushrooms in a rich cream sauce, while my girlfriend enjoyed the meatballs. We also shared fries, a feta and mixed olive salad, roasted halloumi, and hummus. All of this came to just £55 for both of us, including a drink. The drinks were a bit watered down, but honestly, I'm just being picky. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Excellent selection of delicious tapas/mezze served by friendly staff, in good time. Very recommended! Beware of overorder, but you can always ask for trays to take your gluttony home with you, we have, and has a delicious breakfast next morning:
Amazing Mediterranean Tapas restaurant in the heart of manchester city centre. Dimitri's has been around for along time and will continue to do so thanks to its excellent food and outstanding service. This place is always busy, so booking ahead of your visit is strongly advised. Really good to see they have introduced a good selection of veggie and even Vegan options on their menu! The Vegan Seitan Kebab was so good!!
